Stop Motion Animation

Within this project, students developed an illustrative narrative using the ‘Stop Motion’ app to create an animation that tells a story based on a chosen superstition. Through photographing and sketching specific primary sources related to the chosen superstition, students began to explore how their sketches could be maneuvered and developed through step by step movements to create an illustrative narrative. By the end of the 10 week project, students produced a small animation which they then edited within ‘InShot’. Here they could add sound and text if they desired. This project demonstrates how digital technology can be incorporated into a classroom setting.
